Thumber allows easy access to the 'thumb codes' for all deviations on a deviantArt page simply by clicking the Thumber link in the dA toolbar next to the Logout link.

To install ensure that you first have the GreaseMonkey FireFox extension, then click here to visit the Thumber page on userscripts.org and click the Install button.

For full instructions on how to use Thumber v0.5 check out the user manual.

Tested in FireFox 3.0.7 (should work in all versions though) and GreaseMonkey 0.8.

Thumber v0.5 is a stable release, but should you come across a bug, or have any feature suggestions, don't hesitate to note me :)

Updated to version 0.5 stable (08-Mar-2009)...
  • Added support for deviations in the deviantWATCH area of the message centre

  • Added support for showing thumbcodes on Daily Deviation pages

  • Added support for showing shopcodes on shop and print pages

  • Added context menu supporting:

    • Direct link to deviation

    • Direct link to thumb owner's gallery

    • Direct link to thumb owner's prints

    • Direct link to thumb owner's profile

    • Direct noting of thumb owner

    • Getting thumb's thumb/shop code without enabling all thumbcode boxes

    • Direct editing of thumbnail if it's owned by you (excludes prints)

  • Added options dialog to select how the context menu is triggered and where the context links open(accessible by right-clicking the Thumber link)

  • Changed the way CSS styles are created and assigned

  • Stopped Thumber from being executed on SitBack pages

  • Fixed a bug which affected uploading avatars on the settings page


Be sure to uninstall any previous versions of Thumber from GreaseMonkey before you install v0.5.

I have something that hasn't installed on my firefox so i have to open some stuff in IE. It sucks. This is probably one of those things I can't open.

How do you mean? You need the GreaseMonkey FireFox add-on to be able to use this, it won't work in IE at all.

I mean there is something on firefox that won't update for me, so with my luck the greasemonkey thing is a part of it. i probably won't be able to use it.
